Data plays a crucial role in the recent developments of Sciences. Managing and exploiting data is essential for many applications. Automated decisional processes, based on the analysis of a large amount of data, are increasingly used in all domains of our modern life, including social networks, autonomous transportation systems, e-commerce, finance, logistics, etc.
Data management and analytics, based in particular on advanced Machine Learning algorithms, is therefore an extremely important research domain.
The “Machine Learning and Data Science” (MLDS) center at UM6P aims at developing a high quality education and research environment on this challenging and rapidly changing domain. It promotes collaborations with industry on cutting-edge research and education.
The MLDS center contributes to the undergraduate program as well as to the doctoral program of UM6P-CS, and offers an Executive Master for advanced training of working professionals who want a program that works with their busy schedule.
MLDS gathers PhD students and researchers working on various topics related to the domain of Machine Learning and Data Science, addressing both fundamental and applied aspects. The research topics addressed in the center include:
