Cybersecurity and Privacy are increasingly important disciplines with critical benefits to society, businesses, and national security. It bridges theoretical computer science and computer systems in a unique way. Unlike other areas, sound security and privacy requires strict provable guarantees, yet should meet the practical requirements of the computer systems, services, or applications. Addressing the rising security risks has become critical to most organizations.
The “Cybersecurity and Privacy” (CSP) center at UM6P aims at developing a high quality education and research environment on this challenging and rapidly changing domain. It promotes collaborations with industry on cutting-edge research and education.
The CSP center contributes to the undergraduate program as well as to the doctoral program of UM6P-CS, and offers an Executive Master for advanced training of working professionals who want a program that works with their busy schedule.
CSP gathers PhD students and researchers working on various topics related to the domain of Cybersecurity and Privacy, addressing both fundamental and applied aspects. The research topics addressed in the center include:
- Robustness of networked systems against adversarial attacks
- Security and privacy in mobile and cloud systems
- Privacy-preserving Machine Learning
- Blockchain security
- Formal methods for security and privacy
